It is moved that: The SPEEA Council supports UAW Local 1069 by requesting the SPEEA Executive Board fund up to $3000.00 out of the annually budgeted labor support fund to help them in their strike, if it happens. |

It is moved that: The SPEEA Council opposes actions to permit one-person engine train crew
operations on Class I railroads operating in the US; and be it
RESOLVED, that the SPEEA Council will support and advocate that members of our congressional delegations cosponsor and/or work to pass HR 3040, which would require all trains operating in the United States to be staffed with an engine train crew of no fewer than two persons.
and be it further
RESOLVED, that the SPEEA Council supports and urges national investment in US railroad infrastructure, maintenance and safety.

It is moved that: The SPEEA Council has NO CONFIDENCE in Mr. James McNerney's abilities as Chief Executive Officer of The Boeing Company based on his actions as board member and CEO. |

NW14-014 Revision of NW Legislative Voting Policy. |
It is moved that: The Northwest Council Approves revising SPEEA Legislative and Public Issues Voting Policy:
5. Passage or adoption of any legislative or public issue proposal shall require a 60 percent majority of votes cast at a duly constituted Northwest Council meeting. The total affirmative vote cast must be at least a majority of the total number of seated Council Representatives. Council Representatives who are employed beyond fifty statute miles from the meeting and are unable to attend are excluded from the total number required.
6. The pre-submitted motion shall include the information that to pass, the motion will require a 60% majority of votes cast and the total affirmative vote cast must be a majority of seated Council Representatives. The Council Chairman shall announce these numbers prior to the Council vote.
7. The number of votes cast for and against the issue and the numbers required to pass shall be recorded in the Northwest Council Minutes. shall be by published ballot and require:
- Total affirmative vote cast must be at least a simple majority of the total number of seated Council Representatives. Council Representatives who are employed beyond 50 statute miles from the meeting and are unable to attend are excluded from the total number required.

It is moved: The SPEEA Council only support aerospace and advanced manufacturing tax preferences that include clear performance conditions and accountability measures to ensure livable-wage and high-tech jobs are supported and public interest is protected in subsidy programs. It is further moved that the SPEEA Council support legislative and public efforts to ensure that defined performance conditions and accountability measures be applied to all corporate/business tax subsidies. |
